I’m excited to get back to work with this amazing group of gentlemen.
Out of nowhere Jesse starts ripping some Thin Lizzy Gotham/Robertson style harmony parts, winning my heart for all time.
Needless to say the Moon Matrix of the Lizard People album has taken a rocking turn🔥

I've had two Clavinet D6 models over the years, but have come to prefer this early 60's Model 1, as used by Garth Hudson and Todd Rundgren.
This instrument has become an important part of the Dirt Floor sound, and finds it's way onto may of the records produced here.
It can make a statement, espe...

We are currently in the middle of recording my very first full length album, after many years of searching. I don’t think I’ve ever met anybody more deeply musical than Eric, the studios owner and resident producer/multi instrumentalist. He has a way of putting you at ease, allow you to focus completely on the music. Not to mention he has an uncanny ability to play almost any instrument he puts his hands on. Without getting overly sappy, I’m having the time of my life, and I don’t want this to end, although I am extremely excited to get this album out into the world. I think it’s important for artists to do their research before choosing any recording situation, and that’s exactly what I did. This is so much more than a recording studio, and I’m glad that my research brought me here. CC

This is a very special place. To call this a recording studio does not do it justice. Yes there is great equipment and plenty of guitars, amps, keyboards, and percussion to do anything you want. But Dirt Floor is so much more - it's a sanctuary with a vibe that let's the artist forget everything except being creative and focusing on making a work of art. Check out Eric's philosophy on the Instagram account - what he says there is what you get. He is real, he is sincere, and he is talented. I showed up with a guitar and a song and left with a record - better than I could ever have imagined. I owe that to him. The experience was collaborative as we evolved an idea into a final product. And, while I was there, I had all the attention - no distractions (except for Henley!) and we got it done. Get in touch with Eric, talk to him, and see for yourself what's possible at Dirt Floor.

I had the pleasure of making a 10 song album with Eric, and it is something I will always be incredibly proud of. I don’t actually recall how I found him in the first place, although the NPR radio interview comes to mind. He was very articulate, and talked about his process for making records, which of course involves his skills as a multi instrumentalist and a producer, rolled up into one. I did more research, I listened to some of the incredible music that he has worked on over the years, and I drove up from New York City to meet with him. Within a few minutes I knew we were going to make this music together, and although he is most likely at the higher end of most artists project budget, You really do get what you pay for, I’ve seen it, and I’ve heard it. We made the record I wanted to make, it’s a record I would listen to if I hadn’t made it myself. I cannot say enough good things about my experience, and I will definitely be returning some day. Much love and gratitude!
