Sounds awesome guys!
We had an incredible first day with singer/songwriter Greg Moran. He brought along his lucky gnome, Bucky, to watch over the proceedings! I love this job.
Congrats to Kelly English on the release of her new single "Something It's Not", recorded, produced, mixed and mastered here at DF.
“Had an absolutely amazing time today at Dirt Floor Studio tracking drums for Ian D'Arcangelo’s upcoming album. I’ve never experienced such a unique recording environment, and I would HIGHLY recommend it for anyone looking to create music in a very organic way with the most pristine audio quality...Read More

A great first day with West Coast artist Jack Shields. New album in progress!
- Kelly EMy time at Dirt Floor has been incredible! From the moment I saw the log cabin studio deep in the woods of Haddam, I knew I was in the right place to make great music. The energy in the studio is inspiring, and I felt comfortable there almost immediately. I can't say enough great things about working with Eric. He made thoughtful and constructive suggestions that ultimately made my song even better. He was quick to jump behind the drum set, or grab a guitar that he thought would fit the song, or lay down some vocals that would nicely complement the music. Eric's many years of production experience and making incredible music of his own made this project come together beautifully. Working with Eric and his engineer, Guido, was super organic, and the results were everything I had hoped for. I left the studio feeling incredibly productive about our day, and with a mix of a song that I was in love with. If you are looking for a picturesque place to make great music with great people,...
- Christopher FHonesty. This word encompasses the Dirt Floor experience. From the initial meeting, Eric immediately put us at ease. Visiting a recording studio can be a stressful thing for a musician. Producers will boast that they will not let music that is less than perfect leave their studio, they’ll claim that they have more connections to the music business than any other producer, and they’ll pull out a contract to make your business relationship official. Eric is different. He won’t do any of these things. He realizes that it’s the music’s imperfections that make the singer/songwriter genre so accessible and beautiful. When you hear a record from Dirt Floor, you can feel the vibe that was created during the recording process. You can feel the humanity that is in each note as opposed to the binary code that has enveloped modern music. Eric won’t make any promises that he can’t keep. All he ever promised me is that my musicianship would be honestly recorded and it was. I couldn’t be happier w...
- Lucas HAfter three sessions at Dirt Floor Recording, I am nothing but pleased with the hard work and care the staff will put into your project. Eric and Guido do a phenomenal job at making you feel welcome and providing you with the tools needed to create your desired project. Without them, the single I've been working on would not sound nearly as professional. Dirt Floor Recording is an utterly outstanding place to record, giving you a very natural feel in a beautiful environment. There is no other place like it.
